Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 1, 2027
This policy explains how 17-BIT Co LTD ("we," "us"), 37-4 Hounenin Nishimachi Shishigatani Sakyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan 606-8427, handles personal information in connection with AWAYSIS (the "Game") and our website awaysis.jp. Contact: support@17-bit.com.
1. The Game
The Game does not collect, store, or share your personal information. We do not run servers for the Game and we do not operate accounts, analytics, or advertising inside it.
Online play is peer to peer: one player hosts and others connect to that player directly. Connections, matchmaking, and related online features run through Epic Online Services (EOS), which Epic Games operates under its own privacy policy at [EPIC PRIVACY POLICY URL]. Because of how peer-to-peer connections work, other players in your session, including the host, may be able to see your network address (IP address) and the display name you use on your platform. Choose who you play with accordingly, and see your platform's tools for blocking and reporting players.
2. Platforms and Stores
The platform or store you use (for example, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch 2, Steam, Epic) collects and uses information about you for its own purposes, such as accounts, purchases, matchmaking, analytics, crash reports, and age settings. Those practices are governed by the platform's own privacy policy, and the platform, not us, controls that data. Epic Games handles data for the EOS features in the same way, under its own policy. We do not receive personal information from the platforms or from EOS. We receive only aggregate sales and crash statistics.
3. Support and Website
If you email us or use a contact form, we receive your email address, any name you give us, and the contents of your message. We use these only to respond to you and improve the Game, keep them for up to 12 months after we resolve your request, and do not sell or share them except with the email and hosting providers that help us run our support and website, or when the law requires.
Our website is hosted by Hostgo and GMO, which may log technical data such as IP addresses and browser details for security and operation. The website does not use cookies or analytics.
4. Children
The Game is family-friendly and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through support or the website. If a child contacts us, we use the message only to answer and then delete it. Parents and guardians can ask us to delete anything we hold at support@17-bit.com.
5. Your Rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will respond within the time the law sets. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the EU and UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws, including the right to complain to a regulator. We do not sell personal information.
6. Changes
If our practices change, for example if we add features that collect data, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and post the new date.
